Advertising Disclosure
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Birchwood Health is a free, advertising-supported directory of addiction treatment centers. You never pay to use this website or to call our helpline. This page explains how we are paid, so you can weigh what you read and hear with that in mind.
How we are paid
Calls to our helpline, (866) 227-8929, are routed to licensed treatment providers. Birchwood Health may earn a commission or advertising fee for calls connected through this number. That compensation is what keeps the directory and our guides free.
What this means when you call
- The call is free, confidential, and does not commit you to any program.
- The person who answers represents a licensed treatment provider, not Birchwood Health and not a government agency.
- The provider you reach may not be the center whose page you were reading. To contact a specific center directly, use the facility's own phone number on its page, where one is listed.
- In a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988. In a medical emergency, call 911.
How the directory is built
Center listings come from the public treatment locator of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA, FindTreatment.gov). Centers do not pay to be listed, and payment does not change which centers appear or the order in which they appear. Advertisers do not review or approve our articles and guides; how we write and check them is described in our Editorial Policy.
